This piece is inspired by the concept of the Oirán and the high standards of beauty and care to which Japanese courtesans—who accompanied high-ranking officials—were subjected. It is also influenced by Kintsugi, the Japanese porcelain repair technique in which broken vessels are reconstructed using gold, emphasizing cracks and imperfections and transforming them into a new, more valuable piece. This garment was created in collaboration with and sponsored by CENTRO University and Tavex.
